Katrina Kaif shows off broken hand at cancer awareness programme

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif was spotted promoting breast and cervical cancer awareness over the past weekend. The initiative was organized by the Cancer Patients Aid Association in Mumbai.

Titled Teal & Pink Awareness Programme, Katrina was seen distributing gifts to survivors of breast and cervical cancer at the weekend cancer event hosted by CPAA head Y.K. Sapru.  A CPAA source said that Katrina has been regularly associated with the cause of cancer along with other Bollywood personalities like Aamir and Imran Khan, which definitely boosts the cause.

Katrina was wearing a short pink dress symbolic of the color that defines the breast cancer cause. She was spotted with a bandage of matching color on her right wrist.

Katrina is currently shooting for Yash Raj Films “Dhoom 3″, co-starring Aamir Khan. Incidentally both her movies this year “Ek Tha Tiger” and “Jab Tak Hai Jaan” were YRF productions.

A source from film unit said that Katrina had a small accident while rehearsing for some action scenes for “Dhoom 3”. Apparently she fell down while performing a heavy-duty stunt and tore a ligament in her right hand.

Post the event, Katrina patiently spent some time for photo-ops and with the media.
