Sanjay Dutt Scared Of “Kancha”
The new Agneepath is set to release on Jan 26th 2012, but its characters are already making their mark. In a recent chit chat Sanjay Dutt reveled that the character of “Kancha” scares him even at times, even though Sanjay is attracting applause for playing this villainous character so well from all quarters.
In the original Agneepath “Kancha” was played by Danny Denzongpa, in Karan Johar’s remake of Agneepath this character is played by Sanjay and if views of critics and audience’s is to be believed, it seems that Kancha will now be immortalized by Sanjays acting forever.
In the remake version, directed by Karan Malhotra, “Kancha” is depicted as bald, bulky, tattooed, with a silver ring on top of his left ear and a black outfit. During dubbing at one point Sanjay got so freaked out by his own image as “Kancha” that he had to excused for sometime before dubbing could resume further.
“The problem is that the nation is falling in love with him. I was surprised that people love him. It was a surprise for me. I was in Nagpur and Indore and people there were all shouting `Kancha, Kancha`. I was like…what has happened? (Yeh kya ho gaya hai),” Sanjay said during the interview.
The 52-year-old actor says, he himself is scared of seeing his own evil side as `Kancha`.
