Singer Aretha Franklin diagnosed with cancer
After reports of the singer Aretha Franklin, going through a successful surgery on 2nd December, a local news channel on Wednesday clarified through an unnamed relative that Franklin is actually suffering from pancreatic cancer.
Last week when the singer had gone through the surgery, the nature of her illness was not disclosed. However on Wednesday, Franklin’s relatives focused on her recovery and had refused to discuss about her condition in public.
One of Franklin’s cousin said, “Franklin is doing better than doctors expected. She has a long life in front of her and will be back in concert, on stage, late spring or early summer.”
Certain reports had revealed that, Franklin had just months to live, to which Franklin’s cousin replied, “This girl is doing great and they need to stop it.” Last week when the singer was undergoing the surgery, the whole city and the country was praying for her recovery. The singer had appreciated the efforts of the doctors and all the prayers.
