I am Kalam
Hindi movie ‘I am Kalam’ directed by Nila Madhab Panda and produced by Santanu Mishra will be released in India and across the world on August 5, 2011.
The movie stars Gulshan Grover, Pitobash Tripathy and Harsh Mayar. Music is directed by Abhishek Ray, Madhuparna and Shivji Dholi. Watch trailer video.
The movie is based on Chhotu, who is a poor Rajasthani boy, got inspired by Former President of India A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. The plot is about his strong desire to learn reading.
One day Chhotu watches President Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam on TV and it inspires him. Chhotu changes his name to Kalam and decides he wants to meet the president. Read the complete story here.
A special screening was held for Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam at his Delhi residence on July 29, and also to take his blessings.
The film premiered at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival on May 12, 2011. It has been showcased in various film festivals and has bagged various awards and honors.

KAtrina KAif in Bodyguard
Bolywood actress Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan will be seen together again after a long time in an item song of Salman Khan’s upcoming film Bodyguard.
The movie is scheduled to release on August 31, 2011.
The song Aaya re aaya bodyguard was shot at Film City studio in Mumbai. Katrina was spotted rigorously rehearsing her steps for the song. See photo gallery.

The maker of movies on interesting subjects, Nagesh Kukunoor is after a long time back with the movie ‘Mod’. The makers of the movie have brought back Ayesha Takia and the Roadies heartthrob Ranvijay Singh.

After the critical appreciation of the movies like ‘Hyderabad Blues’ and ‘Dor’, the first trailer of the movie ‘Mod’ has been released. The trailer of the movie has been well appreciated with a suspense love story as its subject.
Ayesha in the movie runs a small clock repairing shop and Ranvijay the movie comes to the shop daily to make his watch fixed. As usual a session of romance starts between the two and ultimately leads to some romantic turns of events.
The movie is actually an official remake of a Taiwanese film, ‘Keeping Watch’. During the launch of the trailer, the maker Nagesh said that with the movie he has returned to the space where he had dealt earlier. Moreover, Nagesh has also used the same tag line ‘how far can you go to save your love.

On 4th August the legendary singer and musician Kishore Kumar is remembered on his birthday. The singer was by birth named as Abhas Kumar Ganguly and was named as Kishore Kumar after he had entered the film industry.

He had worked as a lyricist, composer, producer, screenwriter and even scriptwriter for the Indian film industry and has left several benchmarks in the form of his songs and scripts. Kumar sung for many Indian languages like, Gujarati, Bengali, Hindi , Marathi, Assamese, Gujarati, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Malayalam and Oriya.
During childhood, Kumar was weak in mathematics and used to remember his lessons by singing them to his tunes. The legendary singer was know for his amazing sense of humor which used to come out in the form of his songs.
He went to primary school named, ‘Double Phatak’ Hindi Medium and had graduated from Christian College in Indore. Kumar was earlier married to Rumi Devi but had separated very soon after which he had married the veteran actress Madhubala.

Not many might have noticed that Bollywood stars Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan were never paired as lovers in movies when they were in a relationship. But now after they have officially parted ways, the couple is now in to films in which they have been cast as lovers.

Apart from ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ from the Yash Raj banner, the couple has been signed for yet another movie in Dharma Productions.
The movie has not yet been titled and is a project by Rensil D’Silva.
This is the first film where Katrina will be working with the maker of larger than life movies, Karan Johar. Earlier, it was planned that the actress will be cast opposite Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham for the sequel of the movie ‘Dostana’.
But seems like, the project will not be taking off in near future. Katrina then was tried to be roped in for the next directorial venture of Ayaan Mukherji, but could not due to date problems. despite repeated attempts the project could not be worked out and so Karan thought of casting Kaif in the upcoming project of Rensil which stars the ‘Dabangg’ actor.
