After enjoying great success while running the cable channel of Disney, chairman Rich Ross has resigned from his post. Ross stepped down after struggling in the top position.

The former chairman released a statement through Disney which said, “I no longer believe the chairman role is the right professional fit for me. For that reason, I have made the very difficult decision to step down as chairman of the Walt Disney Studios, effective today.” CEO Bob Iger had hired Ross in the month of October 2009.

Ross was also responsible for many controversies, when he pushed many seasoned executives out of the studio and hired outsider MT Carney to run the marketing section. But then she left Disney in January 2012.

The greatest setback came due to the failure of big-budget John Carter, which resulted in a $200 million write-down for Disney in the month of March. This also led to complaints from Pixar’s John Lasseter, who is the chief creative officer at Walt Disney Animation Studios.

American singer and song writer Mariah Carey, after giving birth to twins has managed to get back in shape. The singer said that getting back in to shape was more than going to gym.

The 43 year old singer said, “I realize that 90 percent of losing weight is my diet”. Carey added that her workout routine is more about getting and staying toned.

Carey revealed that she takes an hour long walk a few times a week or takes a swim three to four days a week and does 45 minutes of aquatic exercises. While talking about husband Nick Cannon, who was hospitalized for a lupus like autoimmune disease and kidney failure, the singer expressed that it was scary but he is now feeling much stronger.

Carey added that Cannon now takes better care of himself and eats a diet which is low on sodium and sugar and also gets more sleep. The singer last April gave birth to twins Moroccan and Monroe through a C-section. And now she showed off her toned legs and stomach on the cover of Shape Magazine.

It was indeed a special moment, when Hollywood actor Brad Pitt proposed Angelina Jolie. Jolie was so touched by the gesture that she had tears in her eyes when Brad gathered their six children to propose her.

Media reports said that Angelina cried and smiled and even the children were overjoyed at Pitt’s proposal. The children were happy as if it came after seven years of togetherness.

The moment was also an emotional one for the whole family. Close friends of the couple revealed that everyone hugged once the actress put on the ring and Jolie went around and showed it to each of the kids.

Angie even considered herself bonded to Brad for life. Reports also said that the proposal was made by Brad during Christmas and the duo kept it under wraps, so that it does not interfere in the promotions of Jolie’s directorial debut film ‘ In the Land of Blood and Honey’. Friends added that the actress was also very busy with the movie as well as the Oscar campaign.

American film actress and producer Demi Moore, on April 16, 2012 returned to her fans on the internet, when she Tweeted a picture of her. But on April 17, the actress made her first public appearance after she returned from the rehab.

The actress looked refreshed and happy and came out to support her best friend Amanda de Cadenet. Moore was seen attending a special party that was held at a private residence at Beverly Hills.

The party was thrown to celebrate the launch of Amanda’s TV show ‘The Conversation’. Demi Moore is the executive producer of the show.

Cadenet while talking about her new show said that she will be interviewing some of the biggest female celebrities in Hollywood. Amanda also mentioned that she wanted to work with her best friend for the series. Cadenet also added that she had been doing these interviews for about a year and Demi has been a major support and also an amazing resource for her.

The bighearted  Salman Khan has a unique style of showing his merits to his friends which is known to the whole of film industry. Since Kareena Kapoor would be doing an item number in Salman Khan’s upcoming movie Dabaang 2 without charging a penny, ‘Blockbuster’ Khan will be rewarding her for her generosity.

Earlier, when the director of the movie Arbaaz Khan approached Kareena Kapoor to do an item song in Dabangg 2, Bebo said that she would agree only if her demands get fulfilled.

Kareena wanted her item number to be promoted as an important part of the film and not an ordinary item number. She also wanted the song to be part of a dream sequence.

Kareena also demanded a huge amount of money to do this item song. But now Kareena Kapoor has decided not to charge the Khans anything for her special appearance.

Insiders say that Salman Khan has been looking at several options. He could gift Kareena a BMW 7 series, which is one of the most expensive cars of that type.
