Amar Upadhyay makes entry into ‘Bigg Boss 5′. Mihir Virani out

Adding more interest to the latest reality television show ‘Big Boss 5′, the actor-producer ‘Amar Upadhyay’ is the new entry in Big Boss 5 who joined the house this morning, hence Shakti Kapoor finds a male companion.

The role which gave Amar his major breakthrough and is well known for is of Mihir Virani from the popular serial “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” on Star Plus channel.

“I decided to take up ‘Bigg Boss 5′ only to challenge myself, because I am a very restless person and love parties, fast cars and long drives. The ladies in the house have only dealt with Shakti Kapoor so far, who I believe is an uncle,” Amar said in a statement.

“A real man is finally entering the house. Women don’t want to see Shakti Kapoor on screen – they want to see young blood like me. If audiences are expecting to see the Mihir side of me, they are going to be in for a shock. I am going to be myself, which is a far cry from what Mihir was,” he said.

“I have no game plan in mind. I have watched the show all of last week and am aware of how everyone is behaving, ” he said. “Maybe I will have an advantage over the rest for a while, but then every day is a new day. So, I really don’t know what to expect.”

”I am not here to earn name or fame, ” he added. “I thank God that I have both. I was offered ‘Bigg Boss’ in the first season itself. But I couldn’t do it because I was busy with my show ‘Viraasat’. Then I was also offered the fourth season, but I was busy travelling. Now the show came to me the third time… I think it is God’s way of saying that I have to be on the show, so this time I agreed because I had time.”
